The story so far…

Since inception on January 30 last year, Billy’s Buddies has grown to become South East Queensland’s Leading Sports Program for children aged 2 to 6.

Starting out with just 30 children at Carina Junior Rugby League Club, Billy’s Buddies now hosts sessions for 1,500 children at over 170 locations each week.

Parents have had nothing but great things to say about the Program. Katie McDonald from Redlands Junior Rugby League Club said,

“Lucy gets so excited talking about Billy’s Buddies and her behaviour during her Session clearly indicates that she enjoys it.”

Whilst Billy’s Buddies has a strong presence with Junior Rugby League Clubs, the Program is also well received by over 150 Childcare Centres in the Greater Brisbane region.

In addition to the Program’s strong brand, the alignment with the National Quality Standards and Early Learning Years Framework makes the Program suitable for Childcare Centre Directors and Managers to introduce the Program to their families.

Childcare Centre Director, Rebecca McGrady, from Goodstart Indooroopilly Witton Road, liked the Program so much that she chose to spend part of her Government funding on Billy’s Buddies.

By paying for the Program through the Centres funding, this ensured all her Kindergarten children were given the opportunity to participate in Billy’s Buddies.

Mrs McGrady said: “We love Billy’s Buddies because it encourages children to get outside and try something different.”

“The Billy’s Buddies Program allows the children to work together and continue their social and emotional development as well as listening to instructions.”

This has helped get them ready for School,” said Mrs McGrady.

Billy’s Buddies has also embarked on a journey to expand across the Country via a Franchise System. This is already getting strong traction with Programs now being run from as far north as Maroochydore right down to Beenleigh (south of Brisbane).

In addition to the strong growth in Queensland, Billy’s Buddies will launch into Syndey from early 2018.

Stay tuned!
